The last supermoon of the year

The last supermoon of the year

Watch out, on Thursday 11th August for the last supermoon of 2022. Supermoons are full moons that appear much bigger and brighter than normal.

August’s full Moon is traditionally called the Sturgeon Moon because the giant sturgeon of the Great Lakes and Lake Champlain were most readily caught during this part of summer.

With the great weather at the moment the view of the sky should be beautifully clear for a perfect view of the moon.
